2nd Line Support Technician

This is an opportunity for an someone with a keen interest or experience with IT, networking or similar to work for a national business in a static role. You will be responsible for checking, configuring and servicing a IT related systems such as printers, scanners, hand held devices and more. This role is very varied and will give you the opportunity to learn and develop your IT skills. Your role will be key to the business as they continue to go from strength to strength.

The role will largely IT based and you will be configuring a wide range of epos systems. Therefore no two days will be the same and you will learn a great deal. There will also be full training provided to help you develop your current skill set.

This role would suit someone who has a IT background or an interest in IT and wants to develop a career within IT engineering or similar.

There are also plenty of future opportunities to progress within the business if this is important to you. This also includes future progression into different departments and the opportunity to continually learn and develop.

This is a permanent position, working primarily between 09:00am - 5:00pm.

There may be additional overtime with this paid at a time and half Mon - Sat and double on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Job Specification

• Provide 1st class product support and service.


• Configuring office printers.


• You will be involved in all aspects of the set up and support of EPOS Systems.


• The initial system set up (including building the system database with customer information.


• Installation of software and configuration of hardware.

Person Specification

• The ability to work on their own & as part of a team.


• The ability to learn quickly about new products and new technologies.


• Computer literate.


• Experience with Microsoft products (Win7/Win10/MS Office).


• Good attention to detail.


• Ability to follow written processes.


• Ability to work to deadlines.
