An opportunity has arisen for a CNC Process Technician to join a market leader in the aerospace industry. Aerospace experience is not required; however, they are looking for someone who has experience working with CNCs at a CNC Operator level.
FULL TRAINING will be provided to operate robotic CNC machinery although experience of working with CNC’s is essential.
This role is the next key hire for the business who are continuing to add to diversify their offering. They already provide a high-level of services to an incredibly reputable client base. The business has a global footprint and a reputation for innovation and developing individuals offering fantastic prospects.
Once the initial training phase has been completed, there will be lots of overtime opportunity paid at a time and a half over the standard 38-hour week and double pay on a Sunday.
As a CNC Process technician, your responsibilities will include:
Operate CNC robotic controlled and standard peening machines and process components to the data card and customer.
To be able to measure, read and run strips, ensuring that they are within specification to the data card.
Carry out machine checks to the expected level of discipline and replace/report any anomalies in line with current procedure.
Prevent the re-occurrence of nonconformities by identification, segregation reporting the need for corrective action and verifying the corrective action is effective.
Notify the supervisor in the event of a problem with the process equipment and notify the Inspector in the event of a problem with the parts that are being processed.
We are looking for a Lead CNC Lathe Setter Operator who has the following skills and experiences:
Understands and demonstrates quality awareness and procedures in practice.
Must be conscientious with an attention to detail.
Highly motivated towards safety, demonstrate and understand safe working practices, ensuring that PPE is worn at all times.
Must demonstrate a positive attitude at work by being motivated and self driven, by using their own initiative.
Must show enthusiasm and drive for continuous improvement by demonstrating the ability to make suggestions and recommendations of ways to improve efficiency and reducing waste.
Must be able to work and communicate well within a team to accomplish targets and goals.
This is a permanent position where you will be working Monday-Friday, 14.00pm – 22.00pm (Mon – Thu) and 12.00 – 18.00 (Fri) (Total of 38 hours).
