This is an opportunity for a trainee fire and security engineer with basic electrical qualifications, who wants to develop themselves through training and become a qualified fire and security engineer. You will be trained in planned and reactive maintenance of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
Due to the nature of the role, previous electrical qualifications and experience is essential for this role. Experience within the fire & security industry is NOT required.
Our client is an established and progressive business with a strong presence in the North London region. Where possible, our client believes in supporting the local community and it is our aim to employ a local person for this role as your area will be the North and Northeast of London.
This is a permanent position, working hours primarily between 8:00am – 5:00pm. The salary for the role is between 25k – 26k + overtime and comes with a company van and fuel provided.
Carry out planned & reactive maintenance efficiently & cost effectively
Give prompt attention to reactive & emergency work
Liaise & co-operate with managers to ensure the needs of our customers are met
Manage vehicle stock, tools & equipment (ordering is done by the warehouse team)
Operate within the requirements of company Quality Assurance & Health & Safety policies
Approach all training positively & complete all duties in a professional manner
Be flexible, adapt to changing circumstances & contribute feedback & ideas to help the business grow
Basic Electrical qualifications (C&G or similar)
Good communication skills
Full & valid UK driving license [with no significant endorsements]
Dedicated to own personal development
Works well within a team and contributes to benefit the team
Able to work under highly pressurised situations.
Flexibility, prioritising, planning and monitoring own activity, performance and progress
Strong interpersonal skills
